The PAG L96e Gold-Mount Li-Ion Battery has been designed as a high-quality replacement for the Anton-Bauer Dionic 90, and is directly compatible with cameras that incorporate the Anton-Bauer battery mount.
The significant advantage of the new PAG L96 is that it can be charged using existing stocks of Anton-Bauer Li-Ion chargers. There is no need to replace chargers or purchase additional charge adaptors, making the integration of the PAG battery simple and economic.
The PAG L96e is an enhanced version of the L95e Battery (Model 9310A). The new version has an improved maximum continuous output of 8A, compared to the 7A of the previous version, and an improved performance at low-temperatures.
The PAG L96e has a high-quality construction and comprehensive safety features. The battery incorporates long-life, premier-quality Li-Ion cells, which have no memory effect, and are completely recyclable. In keeping with PAG’s total battery design philosophy it is designed and constructed to provide the longest possible working life.
Its 5 LED run-time and capacity indicator shows remaining run-time on-load in hours and minutes, to a resolution of 10 minutes. Capacity is displayed as a percentage.
The battery’s advanced electronic protection system is fail-safe and features circuits that are Parylene coated to protect them in the unlikely event of electrolyte leakage.
The battery can be recovered after shutdown by simply pressing the display button, and does not require a periodic ‘service’ charge.
The PAG L96T is compatible with the Anton-Bauer battery communication system, which displays capacity in the viewfinders of cameras via the Gold Mount, and displays internally recorded data such as number of cycles, date of manufacture and temperature on the screens of Interactive 2000 series chargers.
The PAG Gold Mount L96e can be charged using Anton Bauer Li-Ion chargers, as well as PAG all-chemistry Gold Mount compatible chargers, such as the PAG Pulsar (9795) and Quasar (9727, 9753). It can also be charged via the front PP90 sockets of PAGlok AR Series 2 (9792) and Quasar (9726, 9752) chargers using charge adaptor Model 9458.
The capacities of two Gold Mount L96e batteries can be combined (192Wh) to provide a longer run-time and a higher current draw capability (up to 10A / 110W) for powering a Steadicam Pro Rig, using PAG Dual Battery Mount Model 9554.
The L96e has been independently tested and certified to comply with UN transport safety regulations. Its capacity is below 100 watt-hours and it is therefore suitable for air transport on passenger aircraft, in hand-luggage, without quantity restriction.
